Stupid police leads a big tragedy

The Philippino ex-policeman Mendoza, aged 55, armed with M16, hijacked the Hong Kong tour bus about 9am in Rizal Park.

At that moment, there were 25 peoples on the bus including 20 from HK and the tour leader. In the afternoon, only 16 peoples were left on the bus including the bus driver and the tour leader.

Finally, 7 HK peoples are dead, 2 in danger and 6 are wounded.

Why this incidence is ended up with tragedy?

First, even though the so-called negotiation is kept going, why the gunman threated to take more drastic measures? Why did he take action in a decisive way? The negotiator should cater hijacker's need. The police should NOT shoot all the tyres. It just pushed the gunman to the dead end. It is just an extremely stupid action.

Second, if it is an incidence in mainland China, the police would shoot the hijacker down as soon as possible especially when he is not prepared. However, the police did not take any measure to calm him down especially when the situation was getting worse.

Third, any outsider can find the assault not professional. No procedure, no strategy, inappropriate equipment. It wasted too much time. The hijacker can react easily in the long process.

After glasses were broken, no follow up action. No ladder and no tear gas. They stood close to the bus without proper cover. Any action revealed their position. No spotlights are provided for snipers when it was dark inside.

Any children knew that it did not work if the door was pulled by a rope. No proper cover is ready during assault.

What a stupid police force!
